Week 13

Happy Thanksgiving Vacation! I am truly thankful for each and every child in my class. It has been a pleasure getting to know each one and their unique personalities. I hope that you enjoy a wonderful break with them. Please continue to read daily and don't forget to work on the family tree and interview questions that are due on November 29th.

Here's what we have been up to in Mrs. Langham's class this week. In language arts, we worked on finding the main idea and the supporting details in stories. We worked in groups many times this week and collaborated on finding what our pictures had in common.

We read a ton of Thanksgiving books. In writing, we worked on writing with prompts that had to do with Thanksgiving too. In social studies, we talked about the Pilgrims and worked on a Thanksgiving book each day to reinforce our learning.

We enjoyed getting to work on the Chrome books in class.

In math, we worked on graphing.

We also had fun sorting rainbow colored goldfish and graphing them. We enjoyed eating them too.

We read a few books to help reinforce our social behavior before going to choice centers.

And we ended our week with field day. What a blast! A special thank you to Chad Trout for helping our class at each station and motivating and cheering them on. You were a rock star!!!
